Forget the Tactical Stance for a second—let’s talk about the real win from this
bo6 bot lobby update: the cross-play toggle in Warzone Ranked. FINALLY.
I play on console, and it’s been frustrating to constantly go up against mouse-and-keyboard players with ultra-low latency. Don’t even get me started on the cheaters. Disabling cross-play in Ranked gives console players a fair shot again, and it’s long overdue. I honestly think this change will bring a ton of players back to competitive Warzone.
It’s also a good signal that Activision is willing to separate Ranked integrity from casual cross-play, something players have been asking for since the Warzone 1.0 days. If you're good, you'll still win—now you just don't have to worry about hardware disadvantages or sketchy aim-assist debates.
Now about the Tactical Stance removal—I’m neutral on it. Never really used it in a meaningful way. It felt clunky more than anything, and I don’t think most players even used it unless they accidentally triggered it. So I don’t see its removal hurting the gameplay experience at all.
This patch has me hopeful. It feels like the devs are finally making player-focused decisions. No more pushing unnecessary features. No more ignoring major balance issues. If the next few updates keep this trend going, I might actually grind Ranked again.
