In Path of Exile 2, the Huntress class introduces a dynamic and elemental playstyle through the Amazon Ascension path. At the heart of POE2 Currency this approach lies the Infuse Weapon passive skill, a powerful mechanic that transforms your ranged attacks by imbuing them with explosive elemental effects. This article explores how to obtain and use Infuse Weapon, the underlying mechanics behind it, and how to optimize its devastating potential.

How to Obtain Infuse Weapon
Infuse Weapon is a passive skill exclusive to the Huntress's Amazon Ascension. To unlock this skill, players must complete one of two Ascension trials: the Trial of Sekhmas or the Trial of Chaos. After choosing the Amazon Ascension path, players can spend just 2 Ascension Points to acquire the Elemental Infusion node, which grants the Infuse Weapon skill.

Because the node requires only a small investment of Ascension Points, even completing the lowest difficulty of these trials is enough to gain access to this skill, making it an early and accessible power boost for the Amazon.

What is Infuse Weapon?
Unlike many skills in Path of Exile 2, Infuse Weapon is passively activated. There is no need to manually trigger it through skill buttons or right-clicking. Once the activation conditions are met, the skill automatically imbues your weapon with elemental enchantments in the background, empowering your ranged attacks.

Importantly, Infuse Weapon has no skill gem, so it cannot be used by other classes. This exclusivity emphasizes the skill’s thematic connection to the Huntress’s unique elemental combat style.

Understanding the Weapon Infusion Mechanism
To grasp how Infuse Weapon operates, it’s essential to understand its parent node: Elemental Infusion. This node enables the skill and links it to the elemental charge system, dictating how weapon infusions are generated.

When you expend an Energy Charge, you gain 2 Cold Infusions.

When you expend an Endurance Charge, you gain 2 Fire Infusions.

When you expend a Fury Charge, you gain 2 Lightning Infusions.

These infusions are temporary weapon enchantments that empower your ranged attacks with elemental explosions.

The Infuse Weapon description states:

“Imbues your weapon with enchantment. Making non-melee projectile attacks with this weapon consumes the infusion to infuse the fired projectile, causing it to explode at the end of its flight.”

How to Trigger Infuse Weapon
The activation of Infuse Weapon involves a sequence of events:

Charge Generation: First, you need to generate elemental charges using specific skills or passives. For example, using Cull the Weak can grant you charges.

Charge Consumption: Then, use a skill that consumes those charges (such as Lightning Lance). Consuming charges this way triggers the weapon to gain the corresponding elemental infusion.

Projectile Attack: Finally, use a non-melee projectile skill (like Twister) to consume the infusion and trigger a powerful explosion upon impact.

These infusions last for 15 seconds before expiring, and you can hold up to 6 infusions of each elemental type simultaneously. Proper timing and rotation between generating charges and consuming infusions are vital for maximizing damage.

Huntress Skills That Trigger Infused Weapons
Several Huntress skills synergize exceptionally well with Infuse Weapon, as they both consume Frenzy Charges and involve firing non-melee projectiles. These skills include:

Lightning Lance

Explosive Lance

Storm Lance

Glacier Lance

Twister Lance

All of these can build up infusions and trigger the explosive elemental effects, making them excellent choices for an infusion-focused Huntress build.

Generating Charges Efficiently
Sustaining Infuse Weapon requires steady charge generation. One of the most effective ways to generate Frenzy Charges is through the Battle Fury node on the passive skill tree. This node grants Frenzy Charges each time you successfully apply Electrocute, Freeze, or Cripple to an enemy.

Among these, Electrocute is particularly recommended, as it scales well with increased Lightning damage and complements Lightning-based infusion builds. Applying Electrocute can be made easier with the help of unique gear, such as Kitoko’s Current gloves, which enhance the frequency of applying the Electrocute status.

The Frozen Huntress Build: Cold Infusion Focus
Alternatively, players who prefer a cold-themed playstyle can opt for the Frozen Huntress build. This variant adds the Resonance Node alongside Battle Fury, converting all Fury Charges into Energy Orbs. This conversion allows the player to rely exclusively on cold damage to generate Cold Infusions, leveraging the power of cold elemental attacks and freezing mechanics.

The Infuse Weapon passive skill is a standout feature of the Huntress's Amazon Ascension in buy Path of Exile 2 Currency. By linking elemental charge consumption with powerful projectile explosions, it creates a rewarding gameplay loop that combines strategic charge management with explosive elemental damage.

Whether you prefer the crackling force of lightning, the searing heat of fire, or the chilling grasp of cold, mastering Infuse Weapon unlocks a versatile and potent elemental combat style unique to the Amazon Ascension. With the right combination of skills, passives, and gear, this passive skill can turn your ranged attacks into a symphony of elemental destruction.
